Sunroof/Moonroof seal-how to

After pulling down the headliner, I found a major source of water pouring in. It is from the sunroof. Since the car is a 2003, I guess that is to be expected, although I didn't expect the water to be pouring in enough to fill a one quart bowl from rain overnight. The water was even following the contour of the headliner down to fill up the spare tire well.

How do you remove the glass to install a new seal? I don't see how it is held in place.

Has anyone done this or should this be done by someone that does this all the time like maybe the dealer?

Thanks

Since you've got the headliner down, I'd suggest checking the drain hoses first.

If they are plugged up or disconnected, no seal is going to fix the problem (doesn't seal perfectly).

(Glass has tabs attached, that bolt to the mechanism to answer the orig. question)

Luck!

Anyone ever replace the sunroof seal??

Does the glass just lift out or do you have to take apart the track inside?
