Rear Wiper Delete

I decided this could go here in MK1 rather than hoarding it over to the SVT section. I recently decided to delete my rear wiper due to the fact that I thought it was hideous and looked like an afterthought add on by Ford. I used this part to do so due to the fact it is clean, doesn't involve an ugly rubber plug, nor does it involve silicone.

The seller is located in Greece however it only took 15 days to arrive. The only issue I had was I had to remove ~1mm from the circumference of the raised, centering portion of the plug to get it to fit in the hole in my hatch glass. Otherwise, high quality part and well recommended. Anyways, on to pic.

As you can see, it comes with silicone rubber gaskets for both sides to avoid pinching or breaking the glass. The part is made from painted, not anodized aluminum. Not much else to say but I like it lol.

Looks great, but I use my wiper way to much, so I put a Edge rear wiper on.

My wiper was barely making contact as it is and I have read the Edge wiper tends to exacerbate the problem and I didn't want to futz around with tweaking the metal in the hatch where the wiper motor mounts and risk popping the glass (been there done that) so I just deleted and am now enjoying a lighter car (every pound counts lol).

LOL, all mine took to get 100% coverage was slightly bending in the areas around the 2 bottom bolts. Your delete does look nice though!

Looks good. My edge wiper makes full contact and I also use my wiper too much to delete it.

Update to the fitment issue. I contacted the seller and he agreed to make the modification to the self centering portion of the plug for all future US spec Focus owners. He speculated there may be a discrepancy in the rear glass used by the Euro cars vs the US spec cars.
