Its really easier then you think. I'd get carrier bearings & the speed sensor. Don't forget about that spendy ford oil. I did mine on a trans bench & sucked out all the oil.

OOOOOOOOOOOOh before you even finish this make sure you take the lower control arms on both sides and the knuckles an the full front brakes then you just have to buy svt calipers, pads, and rotors for a great brake upgrade.

True but im staying small up front for drag slicks. Speed sensor eh? Hmm. Ill chew on that. Got diff bc of price. At some pt ill send mtx out to terry for rebuild. Then diff will likely get addressed. r

Day 5. Light day due to another round of winter weather. But productive in terms of limited time, working solo, cold, and such like. Loading now...

not much time and weather as you can see. still i can get some big things done in the back of the car.

many years of great service before she finally started to fail. Thanks Morewood98.

this concerned me a ways back when i debated doing this build or not. rear crossmember is just in flat out rough shape. going to have to strip some more see how comestic it is or is not.

some more of that, forgot i put ES bushings in everywhere a few yrs ago.

dropping this out, it does not stay as the duratec tank must be used. dead fuel pump anyway. clearing it out will make it easier to cut an access panel in the car later. will make a door from a larger cut piece out of the donor car. that way fuel pump work will not involve dropping a tank heavy with fuel like this was.

and we are free. opened door to house "hey pop, need some coffee filters...

...by the way, you want some gas?"

...10min later he didn't need to go out in the snow to get gas in his truck.

couldn't leave her inside so out she went and get these 2 back in before it gets too ugly. Carport will be here next wk. its going to help a ton. til next time.

Just picked this up on clearance. 10x8. Now the car project can get moving now with this storage space. Combine this with the carport which didn't get shipped due to a mistake, i say this is my next weekend. From here the teardown can kick into another gear. R

Strip the yellow one alllll the way down. ?.install the new duratec harness first, along with the fuel and vacuum lines. I did it in that order and it made life easier.

Dont even try splicing lol....its a headache and the full harness swap is the way to go.

lil quiet lately with holidays, bad weather, work, and weddings... but i did manage to throw this up yesterday before going to a wedding. Now i can store parts peeled off the yellow one without weather issues or having to stuff it back inside the car when i'm done for day.

R

PS- Sears and their 3rd party f'd up my carport order and after 3 promised ship dates my latest contact on latest ship date resulted in them coming back and telling me that they have none, manuf has none, and they don't know if/when they will have some can we give you your money back? ARGH!!
