So i decided to take care of those rust spots before winter set in and they got any worse. At this point, i really didnt want to spend big money on paint so, i got a can of paint at autozone hoping that the color would be close enough that you dont notice.
First thing first: sanding

Then got out the body filler

And taped and sanded it.

Then primer

Then i painted it and put some clear coat on there as well! It looks good for what it is but the colors dont quite match.. :/ well it will work for a little while. At least until i get time and money to really respray it.
But it did turn out pretty nice!

Looking good man! I find that the plastidip works best for parts you don't plan on repainting and see a lot of abuse. For example, my rocker panels and my mirrors had some serious paint chips and flakes from the previous owner, so I sanded it down as if prepping for paint but shot on some matter black plastidip instead of paint. It's held up much better than paint would, hasn't chipped yet and it has seen PLENTY of rocks.

I did the same thing as you with my wheels. Took the time to sand it down and prime before paint and man it's something to behold. I went with a metallic gunmetal and I thought mine look good with my sonic blue, but man your white is stellar.

Keep on rocking out man!

I can't really tell from the pictures, but how different is the colour from sonic blue? I just had a bit of a mistake and scraped my side skirt on a curb so I will have to go through the same thing you did with your hood. I just really don't feel like spending huge money for something you have to lean down to see.

Haha not a chance. It only gives the opportunity to learn some body repair along the way. This focus isnt any where close to dying! Haha

I started work on the rear bumper. First had to figure out how to take it off

The bumper bracket was broken in half so i riveted peices of metal on it and it is as good as new!

Then i got out the fiberglass repair kit and decided to see what i could do with it
