old escort stripe on Focus

So on the passenger rear quarter panel I have fist size chunk of paint missing. It just flaked off right in front of the wheel well. I'm not painting the whole side of the car just for that, so I have been trying to come up with solutions to cover it up. These include decals or more likely plasti dip.

So here are a few ideas...

* Racing stripes= Similar to the mustangs

* Porsche style stone guards

*escort mark 1 decals (probably plasti dip them...in black or white)

If I did the escort route, I would do the hood and rear decal too, plus probally the bronze wheels and maybe the mudflaps....and find some big lights to go in the lower grill, remove the factory fogs, and make them cooling ducts or intake ducts...

What's your guys opinion? or any other options you may have... Thanks

The Porsche Style stone guards seem like the most subtle look and least amount of effort. I'd go for those. Or You could just plasti dip your entire car and be done with it.

You don't want to fix a small area, but you want to go nuts on option 3 ? It doesn't make sense. Paint a small area and blend it in.

lol was thinking the same thing:) though it would be pretty sweet to see option 3, but the actual time involved would be way more involving than just painting.

I was quoted $700-800+ to fix it because to blend it right they have to do half the side of the car. #3 I could do with plasti dip cheap, and I need to repaint my wheels any way thanks to there norma peeling issue.

Holy crap. You should at least try some touchup yourself. If it looks crappy, you're out a few bucks. I've had good luck with automotivetouchup.com. I think a 12 oz can cost me about $20.00 plus some duplicolor clearcoat.

You know a lot of Foci do have those same stripes as that Mustang...

There is an example of a custom one but there was a stock one/dealer add-on one too.
