Apparently for whatever reason Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited is replacing the housings and re-flashing the BCM rather than just splicing the harness like they did here.

It would be nice to understand why there's more than one approach to the resolution, and what the determining factors are.

Rumor has it that there was not enough reflective area to meet Canadian regulations so the housings had to also be changed.

It's much less costly for the supplier and Ford to repair the existing housings in the field. So they choose this method for the US models.

The headlamp recall should not affect the 2014 ST if it was built after the change over.

TSB 13-6-10 has been superseded by TSB 13-12-3 which covers all 2013-2014 models built up until 8/27/2013 for the same concern as TSB 13-6-10. The 2014 doesn't need the clutch line changed though as it was already done at the factory.

My wifes ST used to have the HID lights as the daytime running lights but since the new headlight assemblies were installed, the LED eyebrows are the DRLs. It also has 3 LED orange side markers per side now. The eyebrows are super bright now too.

I was finally able to get this into the dealer and get the recall completed. All works great and they took good care of my car.

They indicated that the TSB does not apply to my 2014 ST. I'm going to leave it with them again so they can trouble shoot some more. Seriously??? I'm not the best at electronics but a) when eyebrow off, if there is voltage going to the bloody part, then it is the part b) if there is no voltage going to the part, then address why the power isn't getting there. Am I missing something?
