The fact that there are virtually no mechanics in my local area that know jack about a Focus, any year model. I own two and every time I work on them they come out great. It's a pain in the ass to work on sometimes because I have huge hands. Every time I go to a mechanic something else is messed up or they want to repair something else needlessly.

No boost, no 5-speed, no low, no Recaros, oh and the fact that every time I save up some $, something goes wrong with it lol. Sad thing is I've become attached and don't ever see myself parting with it.

This... ^ (Except the 5-speed) Get mine running well, and something else messes up. lmao But I love the little bastard... it's my baby. Most annoying thing is that Focuses are under powered in general... or at least that's my opinion...

This happened to me as well, I took a small piece of pliable rubber shim, folded it half and jammed it in there to act like the spring. Works better than new.
My biggest issue now that it's seven years old and 175,000kms is the rattles and squeaks. I love driving this thing but god damn it, they are annoying!

All the crap designed little parts that once broken show clear indication that no one designing them cares enough to mod the design a bit more to make them last way longer. Not just a problem on Focus but all Fords as well. They make a motor and trans that can seem to last forever then design a car around them that is so crappy and breaks so many different things that people actually dump the cars over minor issues that stack up to become intolerable in owners' minds.

Then Ford wants you to buy a subassembly that has 20 other parts when all you need is the one, and you have to pay much more than necessary. I thought paying tribute died in the middle ages. Company not endearing itself to young hearts and minds there at all.
