Anyone Else Having Sirius Signal Issues?

Hey was wondering if anyone else is having Sirius Signal Issues like I 'am. I hop in my car the Sirius plays fine for the first minute then I keep getting an message on my little screen "Acquiring Sirius Signal" sometimes it goes out so long it says "Sirius Not Available" I have called Sirius and done 2 trouble shootings for a better signal but they said if that doesn't work to take it to dealer. I was just wondering if any of you on here have experienced this and what on your car & had to get fixed? I know there was a TSB for FM reception replacing the antenna. My FM is great! even with my shorty antenna but I know the Sirius antenna is buried inside that roof mounted antenna.

Anyways my car is a 2013 Build with just the 200A package and I paid the $195 for the Sirius option standard 6 speaker sounds system with small screen in center.

Thanks all help is appreciated!

Hi, fiveofocus,

I have not heard of others having this issue and agree that you should visit your dealership.

I'm not gonna pay for mine once the freeby is up, I just refuse to pay for radio and wish the auto makers would just incude HD as much as they do Sat.
I prefer a better quality sound and for me the regular FM sounds better than the Sat feed, not to mention how much better MY files sound via a flash drive in the USB port.
But I will say that what I have used of the Sat radio has always had a solid signal for me.

It seems like these radios don't have the capability to pick up the terrestrial signal. My XM used to not miss a beat in a parking deck, under an overpass, etc. Sirius blanks out if I get under good tree cover in some places.

Most likely the time of year. Here in WI I would get calls usually in the spring and in fall for about a week with customers complaining of intermittent service. It had to do with where the satellites were in rotation compared to you. Usually cleared up in a week or two.
