I really like the drl but I was wondering if there was a way to tie them in to the turn signal as well so the flash with the turn signal

It would go against all DOT laws if you had the white DRL blink with your turn signal.
No flashing is allowed in the front of the vehicle with anything but amber color.

These are probably what you'd want. I wish this didn't come out a month after I got my regular ones..

Don't the Audi a4s do it? I'm pretty sure they do at least turn off when the blinker turns on......

I have a close friend that builds audrino chip boards and we are thinking if we tap into the blinker and head light power we can control the drl to do what we want

What Audi does is different than blinking white lights.
Audi and other OEM turn off the white and then blink with amber. They do this because the white is too close to the amber. If they left the white on you may not notice the amber.

Looks like an obvious add-on and does not look integrated with the rest of the car. Why not just use your headlights that can actually be seen in bright daylight?

JimsterG, Using headlights as DRL is not the same thing. LED DRL use 6000K color temp with a focused beam pattern made to be seen. Using the 6000K color temp makes the lights easier to see. There is a specific DOT beam pattern that the LED DRL must follow to be considered DRL and not just cheap accent lights.
One other negative to using your headlights as DRL is you are decreasing the life span and brightness of your halogen bulbs over time. LED DRL typically last the lifetime of the vehicle.

I'm not convinced at all, but to each his own.

Not that I want to argue about this but what don't you agree with? Help me understand because if you don't get it I am sure you are not alone.
I work at Philips Automtoive Lighting and lighting is what we do. I know a bit about color temperature and LED lighting.
