Throttle bodies?

Was browsing the net and found this:
http://www.twinkam.co.uk/shop/articl...3DSC240.001%26
Looks like they are offering crate engines with their own engine management system. What really interested me was the quad throttle body setup and 200 bhp rating. Wonder if they would sell those throttle body set ups individually...since its electronic Im assuming tuners would need to reprogram the throttle controls for it?

That sure is purdy.

But the description doesnt say a damn thing about the ITB setup that you see in the pics, and in the other picture at the bottom is shows the stock plastic intake which one would assume is using the stock TB. which is electronic btw.

If you click on the induction system drop down menu it gives you the option to go with the multi-throttle application @ $7638.00 + S&H USD. Not to mention it states that this item cannot be ordered at this time. Probably no longer in production.

You should contact them @ 01953 859785 for more information...

Love the 4 direct throttle bodies!...except for routing to filters wouldn't be fun. I'm thinking someone can check out the Ford Racing site, Rousch or other Ford part numbers to find one that will connect up to our harness, or at least close. A larger TB and wider piping to the air box (wider maf opening too) should give some pretty good gains.

Back when I had my NA 2.3 Mazda 6, there was a user who would hone the stock TB to make it wider and clean off the flapper arm to allow for more airflow. Can be done on ours.....

You could go with a different engine management that doesn't require a MAF sensor. That way you can run individual filters and tune using Alpha N, TPS/RPM based tuning or a mixture of MAP and Alpha-N. there are a number of options out there

Or you could construct/buy an air box to fit over the throttles and run a MAF. I have done both with equally good results. Ether way the key is the tuning hardware and software have used to make it happen.

Short of something like a 6000.00+ T6 or bigger you wont get anything less to run the 2012 and newer engines in a Focus

The UK focus ( pre 2012 ) comes with MAP change over the wiring and ECU , I am tuning a ITB Focus now with stock ECU and MAP , I have tuned a bunch of these NA and I am tuning a Turbo MAP Focus ECU as well which I tuned NA with the cosi intake

Read the second to last sentence. The quad throttle bodies are an option. However in another area it says that this engine is currently not available. I may shoot them an email and see whats up.
