15" Escort Rims

I bought some 15" Escort rims for my MK1 Focus ZX5. I bought some 215/75R15 snow tires for it only to find they were too big. whats a good size tire that would fit in the wheel well? There are some 215/65R15's for sale that I can buy.

stock size for 15" was 195/60...skinnier the better for winter, so id go close to stock size instead of loooking at 215's. Good selection of winter tires in 195.60-15 too, plenty under $300/set

stock size for an escort zx2 rims had 195/55/15 ( I don't know if the older ones came on anything but 14"), but if its a winter tire you can go with the stock focus size for a little more sidewall since that seems to be what your looking for. As far as the 215, that are about 3/4" wider so no they wont fit right and the super tall side wall doesn't help either.

What year escort were they off of? probably 4x100, where your car needs 4x108

They're the 91 Escort GT wheels. I was reading one of the threads here that said they would fit.

I believe the 1st gen used 4x108, which ran until 1990, and 1991+ is the mazda based stuff which would be 4x100. Measure quick to save yourself some grief just in case lol

Well shit. I was reading this thread yesterday http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175927
and one guys said all Escort wheels have the same bolt pattern. Guess I'll have to look for new wheels.

Yeah that guy also said that escorts had a RWD option. Kinda hard to take that entry serious after that.
