Sometimes you are better off getting Ford OEM stock 16 inch rims from the boneyard and putting all season tires on it for the winter because 17 inch tires are going to be really expensive. I have a 2006 Ford Focus SES with 16 inch aluminum wheels and Pirelli P6 all seasons. I drive in the snow without snow tires. If the snow is too bad, I stay home.

I know what you mean, i had the similar size on my 02 focus zx3 and i bought the best 2 front tires and cost me 210, for the svt the cheapest i found was 350 something, for all of the tires for the cheapest for winter was 629. Now if i decide to do that change the rims, could i just change the front rims or do i need to change all since the different size

All 4 wheels have to be the same size or your braking and handling will be messed up.
