Why the OEM cost parts change depending on the dealer?

I'd been getting some OEM parts from my local Ford dealer (Cancun), like fog lights, fog bezels and the gas cap lock and other stuff.
I notice there's a huge difference in cost between The US and Mx! I heard the gas cap is $25 USD, and here it cost me $525 pesos ($42 USD)
And I can't find any American Ford dealer that ships to Mx!
Any ideas?!
Thank you for the input

you can check www.fordparts.com to find out the price in USD...from my experience that price changes by dealer as well. I was looking at a motormount and the price listed was $123.17 but could be found $40 lower just by switching between dealers.

Have you tried Village Ford? They are a sponsor and might be able to do shipping for you. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/f...prune=100&f=81
Although, depends on what you are buyng, shipping might end up costing you more.

Dealers have a sliding scale for parts.. They sell parts at different markups depending on who is buying them.
I know at my local dealer they sell parts to other stores at one price (very low) then another to 'favored' buyers (about 10% to 15% off) then retail, then add on 10% for parts the service department puts in cars...

This is very annoying once you know about it.

I used to get parts at 10% off at one dealer just mentioning my employer.
Agree www.fordparts.com is the definitive price for parts.
Also, they may be adding on the cost for the Mexico distribution center.. Most other countries would have an 'importer' who will add on a fee to every part
