Looks like Rock Auto still has the EMPI... Are they that much better than stock or CARDONE?

Edit: on a somewhat related note. Rock Auto has the EMPI shafts separate from the "standard" and what I am presuming is the automatic. the lengths are different and the spline count at the transmission are different. yet CARDONE and SURTRACK only have one listed for both manual and automatic gear box and has a different spline count at the transmission and length.

I have Cardones and they've been just fine. They also come with hub nuts (even though I'd already bought new ones from Ford) that aren't the "laminated" style so you can reuse them as many times as you need.

The Nut should still be replaced after 3 removals not so much the construction but due to the nut being purposefully not round in the threads.

Good to know! I guess I'll keep the ones I got from Ford anyway then.

Yea, if you look at the nut its slightly oval that's why you cant get it on very far by hand.

No complaints from me, and I bought them based on Cardone having a good reputation.

I have the Rock Auto EMPI and they have been fine. Only have had them for about 3000 miles though. They seem ok to me.
