Question question keyless

((pre sales question))
I'm looking at a new Titanium (keyless) but when the salesman showed me the car right off the bat he couldn't unlock the doors with the keyless entry, he had to use the actual key, said something must have zapped the battery in the key fob and not to worry, happens all the time & all would be okay after a new battery was installed in the key fob - is this true (hope so cause I like the car)

I've had a Titanium for 10 months now. I don't think I've ever heard of that happening before.

I've had mine since May of 2012 - never an issue...

My biggest issue with it is when I have to drive my wife's truck - I keep walking up and grabbing the door handle and just expecting it to open - or forgetting that you have to take the key out of your pocket to start the thing :)

I've only had mine a few months, but I've never heard of that either. If it was a 2013 model, it's possible the whole battery was dead

I have an ST. There is a key built into the fob that will allow you to open the door if the fob battery is dead. Once in the car you hold the fob against the location the key woukd go and push the start button. The fob also has a passive rf chip like a regular key so you can start it if the fob key goes dead.

Got my car a few days ago, keyless (and everything else ((well can't get speed sensitive volume to work, could be user error )) good to know about the passive, wonder if the 2014 titanium's have that feature ?
