I dont think I would want a dyno showing my tune against the competitors tunes done at the competitors dyno under his conditions and at his shop and I am sure injected would feel the same if it was done on my dynojet in my shop

No thanks , you guys have a great time

Tom

That totally makes sense when you'd both be using the same equipment under the same conditions.

If your tune is stronger it will show up, period, compared to his, unless you are banking on someone fudging results or you being treated differently.

can I just point out, its important for both tunes to reach to the Australian market...At this stage, the sct doesn't seem possible for our market, and injected is the best option. Will injected bring out another "custom" tune for the AU market at all? my naivety/noobity is getting the better of me *sigh..

He has the injected tune, I wanted someone with no tune, so that they would not favor either one.

You see i would do a completely unbiased review, if only i had 850 buckaroos. But i dont. I have never tuned nor tried a tuned car. So like i said i wouldnt be biased

Yeah you would be good Jose, but yeah it wouldn't be cheap if you are paying for it. Aric was willing to loan a tune for comparison and Tom didn't weigh in on that aspect, he was just not willing to dyno at Aric's shop.

The solution may be dyno day at the next focusfest, neutral site same dyno, same dragstrip

And because you're not familiar with the process you're not a good candidate either.

I was approached about this a couple of months ago and turned it down. No matter what is done or said it will continually turn into an argument. It will take time and multiple reviews from different users with their perspectives to formulate enough data/opinion to be substantial enough to actually rely on. This allows the cost to be dispersed across the community and no one person is stuck with two tuners for their one car.

If it makes sense and all is the same we will just do it on my dyno , Ok with everyone ?

Where did tuning become about who makes the best HP , its much much more then that
HP/TQ
Drivebility
Engine safety
MPG
ETC

Then there is the DCT
Drivability
Shift Times
Manual shift changes that actually work

I am not tuning for the most HP/TQ I leave that to the others , for my tuning its
Datalogging for Engine safety
Customer Service
Drivability
MPG
Then if all that is done properly there should be a HP/TQ gain but this should be the last thing you look for in a tune , it should be the end result of a good tune tho
Then free tune updates as you add more NA mods with more datalogging for again engine safety

Why arnt people asking about the important things about tuning why just HP

Tom
