17" Pilot Super Sports for Titanium

I really need some new tires for my car and I want to get the Pilot Super Sports for the 17s on my Titanium.
The Stock Tire is 215/50/17
The PSS come as 215/45/17 and 225/45/17... 235, 245 etc
I was wondering if yall could inform me on which I should go with. Also, what differences will I notice with the different size tires in regards to comfort/noise/handling compared to if they made the PSS in the stock size. (I hope that makes sense...)

thanks

I would go with 225/45 17.
Compared to 215/50, these are 1,9% smaller. It's a minimal difference, it won't hurt anything.

Agreed - the 225/45 would fit the stock wheels just fine and be wider and slightly lower profile, everything I imagine you are looking for by going with the Super Sports for better handling.

What about a 235/45/17, would that work on the stock 17" rim? Diameter wise it is much closer, my concern is the width difference of 9.3%.

I'm not 100% on the width of the OE wheels, but if they are 7" then the 235/45R17 would be a bit of a squeeze. (rim width range is 7.5"-9") where the 225/45 is 7"-8.5". Other than that, they would still be a good fitment for the car.
