I saw that thread too. Really cool stuff.

If/when I get another focus id be interested in using the 2.5 head as well. I know its been discussed before but do you know what the cam defaults to with VCT unplugged? I'd imagine it would default to "straight up" rather than retard or advanced?

Id also want to keep the 2.5 timing cover if possible, motor mount style looks exactly the same and I dont mind losing power steering

You would need 2.5 adjustable cam gears and then you could run the 2.5 head on the 2.5 engine
I dont know what power any of them are making right now I cannot get them to get on a dyno

I might to catch up with old man Lesperance on a 2.5. Hoping to have 2.3 donor car here this wkend but the 2.3 might only need give its harness if i go get the bigger lump from lkq. R

Couldn't you also run the 2.5 head on the 2.5 engine with a VCT capable stand-alone, like MS3?
