I'm considering intake options. This one being cheap and seemingly effective. I noticed a small difference so far by simply removing that intake baffle underneath the air box and plugged the hole in the box. Dunno ?? Waiting to see if anyone fabricates a short ram through the hood or not

just do the drop-in K&N. best daily driver set up for added bottom end. did wonders for my car. just a waste of money for anything more except for looks. for $50 and a gain of 8-10hp, can't beat this mod!

just removed the snorkel and the other plastic piece for the radiator. Still running the stock filter. i went wot in 1st and didnt notice a difference in sound or anything but it bogged for a second went i went to 2nd gear. Didnt bog anymore after that. Do you need to unhook the battery for a reset?

You need to add one of these to take full advantage of the delete.

K&N E-2993
K&N E-9289 open end more sound and performance
K&N 57S-4000 even more performance KIT

Airaid 861-408 If you don't want to oil filter (Dry Filter)

Same filter, but this one has a plug on the end that opens up the intake for some more airflow (albeit under-hood air, so not so good on hot days)

I must say, my car is LOUD. It sounds like a damn race car when I'm charging up the street. Huge difference from stock set up. I highly recommend the E-9289 filter for anyone wanting something a little louder. Seriously the difference is night and day.

I haven't had enough time to see any difference in MPG, I'll post if it's any different from what people on this thread have been seeing.
Does the open ended filter provide better performance or just louder?

I was gonna get the green filter or the cobb performance filter from Fswerks.

I did notice it was but less "laggy" when giving throttle off the line. Before it felt like I had to give more throttle to get the revs to come up when taking off.

Like what was mentioned. New filter.
If you want sound with the stock filter, remove the resonator at the bottom of the airbox.
