I get 25 in town or 29 on highway the best I did was 33 and that was straight highway and little to no heavy acceleration but winter it goes down to 16 at the lowest cause of warming it up and lots of wheel spin due to snow and ice

I just did a 600 mile road trip with a mix of stop and go traffic and 80-85 MPH cruising and managed to get 31.75 miles per gallon. I'm very pleased with my little SVT, I just hope it can get that consistently.

Well I'll ruin the good numbers... I get about 18-19 in the city. About 21 mpg half highway/half city driving. No idea why it's that bad :/

You need a tune up and then clean the MAF, get a new PCV valve with rubber elbow and Air filter

however, i still love the SVT and would love one.... what are you guys getting real world mpg? I read 26-28 highway... where an ST is rated at 32, and the standard focus 2.0 is in the 32-35mpg.....

I want the best mileage i can get but at the same time want something fun to drive... Im a diehard ford gearhead so the focus SVT fits the bill...

thanks
So what'd you end up buying? svt or st?

I've been getting a pretty consistent 29-31mpg in my svt zx5 euro. I commute 100 miles a day, 6 days a week, highway. Up here in Minnesota, it is about 10 degrees daily, sometimes much colder. I've been keeping my revs below 3k in the city and driving 70mph average over the 100 mile commute. I average about 290 - 310 to a tank. Sometimes a little less, if it's been very cold and the car needed more warm up time, but never yet below 27mpg.

I've now driven the car about 5,000 miles.

I learned the hard way, I just did the grommet and pcv valve and broke the elbow, I would order all three

Grommet, pcv valve, and elbow

I also get bad mpg, 19 consistently. I'm going to research how to clean the MAF
