Hood release kick panel

Anyone know how to remove it?

I got the push pins to come out but it seems I'm missing something for complete removal.

Trying to run new speaker wire and it would help if its not in the way.

If you mean inside the car, the service manual can be found http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=323957

The instructions should be in the shop manual.

Did you try to remove the upper and lower panels that hold the hood release cable? Just pulling the pins from the panel won't allow you to easily pull the trim panel out.

Yes. I looks/feels like the actual handle is attached but I can't figure out how.

Did you remove the center cover of the handle and remove the nut/ depress the release tabs attaching it to the cable? It would seem not if you were unable to remove the handle.

Strangely some people have reported their handle wasn't bolted down and it just pulled right off.

See I didn't notice a cover. . I will go look again. . Thats probably what I'm missing.

Edit
Yep. Just looked. Missed it.

There's a tabbed boss it slips over.
