K1979, sorry man, I did not want to come off as a jerk. Just didn't want anyone getting hurt from a suggestion I made. Back to your original question, most people flock to tom, or fswerks I believe. There is a shop called top speed as well. My best advice get on the phone with the main tuners and ask them what they can do for you. Most anyone on here can tell you Tom is good and he used to give you free updates to your tune so long as you stayed naturally aspirated. Or are you wanting to tune it yourself? Cause from your last post it kind of sounded that way.

I'm really good at learning things really fast and do them really well.
I can do you a full custom tune and get you as good of MPG as any tuner can , MPG in a tune is a funny thing but I will work with you more then any other tuner for the focus to reach the best MPG that you can get

Tom

Cool. So what do i need to do? Im kind of new to tuning. Im use to the older engines where you turn a screw on the carb and turn the distributor to tune the car. Lol.

I suggest for getting better gas mileage:

Tune
aftermarket 15 inch rims that weigh nothing
slightly higher tire pressure than normal
CAI with a CLEAN filter
New plugs (go for coppers if you can)

If the car is an auto, forget all of this.

Can you get the tune past a CA smog test?

Are the Zetecs really that bad? I have no issue in my auto Duratec hitting 30mpg anywhere I go. If my lifetime filter every goes bad I'll replace it but it's not worth the minimal mpg gains for the money.

Mine isnt that bad and I have plus 200k miles. Just did about a 600-700 mile trip before the holiday from here in Nebraska to Colo, to Wy and back and i was getting 30-34 mpg depended a lot on Denver traffic and wind.
