Exterior pillar pieces

Has anyone pulled the 6 pillar pieces on the exterior(3 per side)? I need to pull them so i can paint them, going with gloss black to match the tint. Currently I have them wrapped but I'm not happy with it as its starting to crack. I'm afraid they are taped on and I'm gonna have to apply all new tape but I may be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

You can buy polycarbonate overlays that are gloss-black on ebay for next to nothing. They aren't permanent like paint, but the end result will be far cheaper & more uniform than you would get by trying to sand and paint the stock pieces.

Do you have a link to these? Your right. That sounds way easier than paint. I will have them painted one day, when I send my car in to have my 3d carbon kit painted. Have that and my door handles done

Yeah I have the piano black ones on my car as well. You can only tell they are stick ons from up close if your looking for them. Most people would never notice that they stick over the stock ones.
