It has an IAC? For some reason I thought that all DBW systems do not have IAC valves.

I need to buy another throttle body. I do *NOT* trust electronic throttles. When the car gets older, I will carry a spare gas pedal and electronic throttle in the car.

yeah I'm not a big fan of dbw either. Just one more electronic part to fail over time.

I would use a dremel and smooth that lip that's still there. Use one of these. I just bored and smoothed my wife's TB on her Malibu. Just making it more laminar (straight and level from the edge to the throttle blade) made a huge difference. I also didn't make the blade diameter any larger, just took the humps and imperfections out. Since her car is drive by wire and controls idle with the TB instead if IAC valve, I'd assume yours does too. All I did was let it re-learn idle and all has been well, no CEL or any issue. Just way more responsive.
