NE Junkyard Fanatics

Figured I'd start this thread so people can post their interesting junkyard finds/ if theyre looking for anything.

-dark black sedan at chuck and eddie's in southington, ct had advancetrac rear discs today. very usable shape if anyone wants em. I may just go back to pull them and stash them away.

-there were also two sedans with grey leather, one set looked pretty good.

-One had the wood trim on the door panels and radio surround, while one other sedan had the brushed aluminum surround.

I might have to drive out there and try to pick everything up to convert to rear disks. Was it an MK3?

I thought Chuck and Eddies was a desk only yard? I didn't know you could go back there and pull parts yourself.

Anyone around here from south shore MA? I'm heading to Everett's Used Auto Parts in Brockton tomorrow morning in search of...well alot of stuff. I'll post up any Focus related stuff I find.

Any cool junkyard mods I can attempt, retrofitting stuff from other makes/models or something?

I've gone there a handful of times when I used to have a place in Randolph. I grabbed a 3G alt for my XR, Cougar pedal covers for a Focus, Cougar gauges, etc. Their stuff isn't organized too well, but you can wander the yard at least without anyone bothering you.

Do you have any pics of the cougar mods? Did you put cougar gauges in your focus?? I bet it looks sweet

I found 13 foci at the yard yesterday, all MK1 and 5 of them were wagons..score
I hate how they have the cars laying flat on the ground though..there is a yard in Freetown that has them on make shift jack stands a foot and a half or so off the ground...much better system IMO. Had I gone there I may have tried to get a passenger side knuckle with a good wheel bearing in it.

I agree they are good about letting you do your thing without bugging you, but i saw the funniest thing: An unsuspecting customer asked one of their employees a question while pulling panels off of a Camaro..employee looks up "Wont you shut the eff up?? Can you see I'm effin working on something here" Classy..

Anyway I got in and out of there for $45 with a new airbox, new HVAC controls including a working blend door knob, e brake cable, cup holder inserts, new cig plug, a couple trim pieces. Only thing I couldn't find was a new latch for my center console lid...

I found 2 of those brushed surrounds yesterday, but they were in really tough shape...I do want one though.
