Wanting white turn signal bulbs

About 2 years ago i noticed inside one of my headlights there was a chip of yellow paint sitting at the bottom of the housing.

I removed them and decided to scratch all the rest of the amber paint off both bulbs.

2 years pulled over twice they never said a word about the bulbs. (speeding is why i was pulled over)

I want to replace them with a more white bulb not another amber bulb.

What ide like to get if possible is white running lights, amber when they blink. Right now i dont think LED lights in cars have been perfected enough to replace them with LED if i dont have to. Well the blinking lights anyway dont seem to hold up.

Since i havnt had any issues with white turn signals i would be fine with just white for both.

Even though i scraped off the amber paint on the bulb they still have a sort of amber glow compared to my headlights wich are just normal bulbs as well. They arnt even white and the turn signals still have an orange sort of cast to them.

Any help or ideas would be great.

I cut my parking light wire and spliced in some LED's for running lights. I still use the amber bulb for my turn signals. There are four leads on the amber bulb. I twisted them together, so when I use the turn signals both filaments light up. Nice and bright. On my 2001, there was a small already. So I just put the LED in there. There actually suppose to be white, but have a slight blue hue to them. I also have the clear grill lights. Not sure about the 2007 though.

shouldnt be a problem with white lights, depending on your jurisdiction. in BC, canada, front lights can only be white or amber, rear stop lights red, and rear turns can be red or amber.

just search your bulb number in a white variant, should be pretty easy.

yeah what norm said, here in ontario iv run white corners as a lot of people do. Iv never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it and i never have... I bought leds before that were white and had amber built it... They sucked as the white was brighter and you wouldnt see the amber over the white... I was reading over the Ontario safety check sheet and it said turn signals for the back have to ether be red, amber, or yellow.

I guess i missed my question.

Are there bulbs that i can get at walmart or a parts store that are white to fit the focus 2007?

I dont want the amber i want more of a white then a traditional off white color you see most cars use

Yeah, you can find the white ones. I don't know the #'s but they should be near each other. Just look for the one with two filaments.
* looks like a 3157 is white and 3157A is amber.

Its weird these lights look white in my eyes i think my camera color setting for indoor is set wrong for outside. The LED light strips actually look blue in these images but they arnt.

I replaced the turn signal bulbs for white ones at walmart (silverstar) they look kinda blue in the package but they dont seem to glow any more white then what i had in there. Im kinda let down for the $9. i spent on the pair.

I wired these to my running lights so at dusk i can drive around with them like this.

If its been done before im sorry.
