Will only a SVT zetec motor fit into a SVT, or does a regular focus zetec line up and fit??

It fits. But the wiring won't work directly.

There's enough SVT parts around that putting a different SVT engine in shouldn't be an issue.

Same blocks, different heads
Same exhaust ports, different intake ports

Will it fit, yes
Is it a plug and play motor swap, No
Realllistically not extremely difficult, swap intake manifolds, disable DSI and VCT, will need a custom tune and some intake/maf work.

The SVT head flows substancially better than a regular zetec head so without major head work and or internals i have no idea why you would wan tto do it...
But to answer your question yes it will "FIT into an SVT"

Someone else feel free to chime in but i think thats the basics.

In the end you could be paying more as
the regular zetec has a different transmission I.e. mtx-75 while svt uses getrag mt285. You could doit but it could get pricey real quick.just Stick with svt engine. You will NOT go wrong by doing so. Why are you looking for a new engine? What happened to the one in your svt?
