SVTF Rear dust covers Necessary?

Is it possible to do a rear disc brake swap without rear disc shield/disc cover?

Moved to the Brake chat area

Yes it is, they are just dust shields and a non vital part, though they do serve a purpose to shield against dust and other things that may get up in there.

it also gets sandwiched between the hub and the arm so would push the whole bit out by the thickness of the plate.

I dont have them on the front, but the rear will see more dirt and debris so I put them on.

Do you just not have them? or are they rusty?
