machine brand new exedy flywheel?

I just bolted up my transmission after installing my brand new exedy OE quality kit with flywheel. Getting ready for bed and I read that I should machine my new flywheel before installation. Did I misread that or is that true? I've never heard it before and I'm no stranger to working on cars... I tried researching it but couldn't really find a definitive answer, just things that kinda suggest that it might be common sense. I'm totally confused. What's the right thing to do?

I've never heard of that before. Now using some brake cleaner to wipe down the surface to get rid of any anti rust coating that they may have on there like on rotors is what I do and heard.

Yeah, I did that. Come to think of it, I think I read to machine the flywheel if you just replace the clutch and reuse the old flywheel, which makes total sense. I think I should just stop reading after a certain hour of the night haha
