I guess it was blow by, I was at WOT from 1-3 (almost 4th (on a track of course)). I haven't been able to reproduce it. I feel it's either blow by or I knocked a hunk of junk off a valve and what nots. Must say, these cars love cold weather lol.

Had you been driving easy for some time before that? Do you have an aftermarket intake?

It is possible that there is some oil vapor escaping the crank-case ventillation system and making it to the intake where it's circulated by the vacuum there. If you've been driving it easy, sometimes this vapor will puddle, and the first time you get on it after a while, it will ingest the oil. Boom, oil smoke.

Nothing to worry about too much about unless it's extreme, but I'd check the intake tube for oil residue to verify if that's what happened. Disconnect the tube at the throttlebody, wipe the inside with a papertower. If it's more wet than just a little bit black sooty, you may want to check the PCV valve.

That is negligible. I wouldn't be concerned.

I did an oil analysis ( I run mobil 1 full synth, I drive hard and change ever 2500-3000 miles as a safeguard). I don't have the sheet however everything was fine, which makes no sense. I have a coolant leak somewhere (I absolultly cannot find it either). I am going in for warranty work tuesday.

Why does it make no sense? Without an indicator in the oil (wear metal, coolant, fuel, etc.), an oil analysis is not going to tell you why you saw blue smoke from your tailpipe, nor is it going to explain your coolant leak.

1/8 quart in 5500 miles is completely normal oil consumption. My engine consumes 1/2 quart in 10,000 miles, and I'm happy about that.

Do you actually have a coolant leak, or is it just low?

My coolant level is below the minimum mark in the reservoir, but it is not dropping. I know a lot of others have had this problem too.

Mine is too.. Never actually had the serviceman look at it, but I know they (are supposed too) check all coolant levels and such at your scheduled oil change.. Not sure if every dealership does this, but mine does. No one has mentioned it and I have had no problems that I'm aware of.

Normal, direct injection cars will burn oil, and there's specs from factory saying direct injected cars will burn oil up to a certain amount that is "normal".... Why you ask? Because of thinner ring thickness to reduce friction in the cylinder wall that will cause power loss and to increase fuel efficiency. That's why they have gone to a tensioner less accessory belt and electronic steering for the same reason. Also, raunchy smell at the beginning of start up is caused by advanced timing to increase fuel output to "heat up the cat" to make it run better. So if it smells like gas in the morning it is because of that. DO NOT add any fuel injector cleaner or additive unless otherwise specified in the manual or you could f - up your entire fuel delivery system (ours is a return less style)

Sincerely your friendly neighbourhood tech
