good news tom! got the injectors and MAF tube! all coming in the mail at least. so hopefully next month i can get with you on a tune! i'm in the middle of a job switch so ill see how funds come about this next month.. but if not ill still be getting with you soon. i'm not even going to put it on yet. i'm going to wait untill i can just do it all at once and have you tune it. i just need the xcal3 now.

kinda want a turbo. but it could be two years before i get the kit all wrapped up. so at least i can play with this on the focus and move it over with out have to reconfigure and fit it all. however.. i have a feeling once i do. i might pull the JRSC back out and sell it and go turbo. but at least i can play with this for the next year or two. i know of one other kit like this in Georgia somewhere that's pushing 305 with a turbo. but i cant see his setup in his pictures. but at least i know it can be done! so i have a feeling ill be swapping in the future when the funds allow me to do so. and a inter cooler would be way better. the JRSC is kind of a stupid design in my opinion... compared to the Power works at least. but at least i can boost around town for now. but as you stated. its a good start.

Powerworks isnt any better , it heats soaks like crazy as well , if you find a used xcal you must make sure it isnt locked , If he is selling it he has to of replaces the stock tune back onto the car and took the custop tune off or the xcal is locked and it will cost you 150.00 + shipping to get it unlocked through SCT

alright so all my stuff has arrived. i start my new job in a week. so i have a whole week to myself for the install. and hopefully i can save up some $ here quick but the job switch will set me back. ill be getting the xcal3 shortly. but i will have to wait a few months more then likely for the tune itself. ill wait to put on the BBK but i might as well install the SC with the low boost application while i have the time to install it, and before colorado winter hits.. changing out the pully later will be simple.

However i have talked to a few guys and it is track safe for some events. any race that will allow a 4 point roll cage. i might make it a 6 point. any more and it looks ridiculous. on this kit car.

so i will be racing after all. a guy with my engine said his 0-60 with the SVT engine is actually 3.7 sec. that's awesome. and i have a supercharger. i'm guessing 3.0-3.3 secs (i hope) if so ill keep up with the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 0-60 mph in 3.3 sec and 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 0-60 mph 3.6! not the fastest car in the world. and no super car. but it will beat a regular Arial atom. but not the v8 version. 0-60 in 2.3 sec. Amazing... so i might switch to turbo a year after the build. well see. but for now this will do. and ill never beat any of them in a top speed run. but once again this is no super car. its a fun to drive and run at the track car!

i know this is an old thread, but a question.
You can send out an engine that is 355hp before
a "charger" of a sort for under $4000???
or is that after? what hp before?

Yes I can help with the tuning both NA and FI , I have tuned dozens of Caterhams with Zetec , SVT and Duratec engines which are light as well

I can build you a complete Turbo ready 450HP engine for 3550.00 if the time comes

I wouldnt push the stock SVT engine much past 280 to 300 HP at the wheels

Not sure what your asking , Are you asking if a Focus engine can make 350+ HP before adding boost ?
