sweet thanks! just went and completed my snorkel delete and here is what i noticed when i started the engine in the parking lot: the second i touched the gas it reved to 2 thousand - i was surprised at the speed it reved up - really. also noticed it the car seemed less vibraty at idle and low speed. then i took it for a spin up and back the road few blocks and thought the intake sounded "racey". kinda like the difference between a stealth and race exhaust. i guess it sounds less muffled. I like it :)

Basically, everything you described is placebo. While the delete definitely won't hurt the performance of the Steeda, it's benefits will be marginal at best because the Steeda is an open-filter design.

That makes sense... I didn't cut any air holes or anything yet. Will that help to cut it front of where the snorkel was? Thx

Just removed my snorkel (left the two tubes), removed flap (no cutting), and also removed this from the bottom of the air box

Idk what the point of it is besides maybe to silence intake noise

It's a resonator that's exactly what it's for.

I just did the snorkel delete and noticed the difference straight away.

Wish I knew about this earlier, thanks guys.

Just have to wait for my K&N filter to arrive now.

Wow so I just did this mod (minus the cutting the shroud, I'm not comfortable doing that while my warranty is still good) and instead of using the E-2993 filter I opted for an e-9289. Same filter, but this one has a plug on the end that opens up the intake for some more airflow (albeit under-hood air, so not so good on hot days)

I must say, my car is LOUD. It sounds like a damn race car when I'm charging up the street. Huge difference from stock set up. I highly recommend the E-9289 filter for anyone wanting something a little louder. Seriously the difference is night and day.

I haven't had enough time to see any difference in MPG, I'll post if it's any different from what people on this thread have been seeing.
