5431 with a .48ar

I am building my zetec up for a turbo I'm lookin for 300-350 whp and fast spool up I'm also trying to keep it budget friendly. I seen where precision turbo has a 5431 turbo thts good for 500hp and was wondering if tht turbo with the .48ar and arnd 20-24psi would hit the numbers I'm shooting for and would 9.1cr be good or would I have to go 8.5.1

Check out borg warners extended tip turbos. Thats what im gonna run and im extremely excited about it. Those things are wild

and that compression should be fine.

check out these. the extended tip design in a nutshell can make high boost like a big turbo but still spools like a smaller turbo. im running the s256. or rather im running the AGP design "s200sx rs56"
http://www.agpturbo.com/borg-warner-...-turbocharger/
http://www.agpturbo.com/s2-s200-series/

my power goal is a bit higher than yours though. im shooting for 400ft/lbs/tq and that might get me in the area of 500+whp. i dont really know or care to guess what my hp will be. its the tq i care about. im sure some other people are bound to pop in with something better than the BW i suggested though.

BAPs arent expensive and as a matter of fact i will be selling one soon. and injectors that big are WAAAY overkill for 300wtq. i might do as much as 500whp and im running 60lb/hr injectors and they should be fine.
you MIGHT be able to get that without running a boost-a-pump but you may want to consider at least looking into one and embracing the possibility.

well another thing to keep in mind is the fact that if you run a turbo that is 300hp capable AT 300hp every single day you are basically beating that turbo like a dog every time you drive the car. just pushing it to its limit over and over and over again and as a result you will wear it out faster. however if you run a 500hp rated turbo at 300hp its like a walk in the park for that turbo and it will last for alot longer.

a borg warner really doesnt make a turbo small enough for your goals and if you want super fast spool and 300whp just get a super60 or something along those lines. the precision you mentioned or a s200 will both support 500hp but wont spool like a smaller turbo no matter how good they are.

as far as beating on the turbo every day at its max i really would worry to much about it. it not like you will be at the track every day doing wot pulls for 5 hrs straight. as long as you are not exceeding the turbos efficiency you will be fine.

there is nothing wrong with over killing on injectors. 80lb injectors will drive just fine with 300whp. 60lb will also work perfectly fine. just get what you find a deal on
