My previous job is working on one. I hope they still let me prototype it once the first one is made. I'm probably going to adjust it to a dual, not keep it quad. They didn't want anything that would require modification, so it sits under the stock rear bumper. I'd want to make a cutout for it. Also, this is a 3 piece system. one straight from the header, one S bend and the muffler section.

Here was a quick shot of the finished product before they sent it out for a prototype model:

Plus once you factor in the extra weight of obtajning a look or a true dual exhaust then you've pretty much eliminated any power gains. You gotta decide if it's a looks mod or a performance mod and really simple is best but if you go with 4 tips keep them a reasonable size since much bigger than 3" tips starts to looks a bit silly on a sub 200hp car IMO.

I'm actually partial to the size on my STI and I like them black.

is it possible to change the FSwerks dual tip to a single tip? It seems like most VW's on the road have the left offset dual tip exhaust... so I thought a single tip would be cool. Thinking more about center exhaust... It works on the Mini Coopers, and Twenty's ST exhaust is awesome looking too

at first i wanted quad tip but agree with the previous comment about 4 tips on a <200 hp car is a bit much.

The way they have their mufflers setup in the back it almost looks like an invidia exhaust.

Is that two separate mufflers on that prototype?

Now that I see it, the quad looks a little busy... I like the dual singles better...

I would want it tucked up into the black piece though, looks less "added on"... Similar to your subie Ron.

the tips are level, there are just 2 separate mufflers for each side.

I think it would look better with like a Magnaflow dual exit muffler instead of the separate mufflers. That's what I would do.

Single muffler with dual outlets saves money and weight
