Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season - anyone on them?

I am about 99.9% ready for a new set of tires, and although I love the Power Sport 3's and the way it handles, I'm not happy with 16,300 miles and I'm on the wear bars today.

Anyone running these? I'm thinking about switch to them.

Big questions are - ride and handling, and MPG? Any major notices?

Just put a set of those on my son's 2005 Focus ST (215/45/17) and also put a set on my daughters 2006 Focus SES (205/45/17). We need a good all season tire up here in the Northwest. Good reviews and they also have a good warranty for a Z rated tire. Happy so far!

Depends on what you want out of your tires.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=165

I was picking between the DWS, RE970AS and the F-1. I ended up going with the RE970AS as it was better all around then the rest of the tires. I also plan to run snow tires so I didn't need to compromise with the DWS. I almost picked the F-1's but having had Bridgestones before I went with what I knew.

I'm going for grip, but something that will see 40k in miles. But I do note that the Power Sport 3's were green rated tires, and the F-1's are not. Just wondered what the MPG will change to, if any.

Living in Southern California, so it will not see any snow, or temps lower than 40's - which would be dead of night once in a great while, if any. But they will see rain - maybe :)

The Conti DWSs are amazing in the rain. I swear they have almost better grip in the rain than in dry conditions. They cut through standing water like nobody's business. Almost hard to hydroplane.

I have the DMS's on our GLK, and I like them but I've always been a Goodyear fan on the cars. I love the Power Sport 3's and even have them on my bike, just cannot see spending $1200 a year on tires for my ride to work car.

Great grip and long miles are mutually exclusive.
The two shall never meet in one tire.

Pulled the trigger on this yesterday - $790.96 plus a $50 rebate from Tirerack.

We'll see how they are, but think I'll already be happier with the 45,000 mile tread life (if they live up to it).
