Can MFT with Nav NOT do this, or am I a moron?

Can I get navigation to use an address from the phonebook downloaded from my iPhone? Seems like a straightforward thing - "I've got the address in the phonebook, just send it over to Nav and give me directions."

Tim

Hi, Tim!

This is a phone-dependent feature; iPhones are not one that works though.

If you feel like putting a little effort into, Post #4 here might help:

http://boards.synccommunity.com/n/pf...yncmb&tid=7698

I haven't personally tried it but this owner with an iPhone seemed to get it to work.

In REALITY---It is MFT/MLT that has a serious programming error!!!!!

Funny how "send to sync"- the paid service works but the free send from your contacts does not!!

MFT/MLT sees a county field & the goes bonkers.
In 3 years of product release Ford has not used their 3rd party programmer to correct. Any base level IT tech can insert a simple script to take the STREET, City, State, ZIP & STOPPPPPPP & ignore the country. A few owners have posted their success after they export contacts to outlook or a mac- delete the "United States" & import back!!!
As further proof of the silliness of Ford's reply....Companies all over the US HAVE to constantly change the "look" into field in-order to submit your payroll taxes to the state gov's & the fed. Seems like every year it bombs on submission cause 1 more field was added or taken away or shifted. And after a 5 minute response from IT they say good to go resubmit & it is fixed.

You forgot to mention how much they want you to pay for SYNC.

What did Apple say when you asked them if they could help with this?

That we live in a global Business world as does Ford. That Ford knew going in How the iPhone and Android phones are configured. It was Ford that purposely made their product not work and then raise the price after you bought the vehicle for their sync services. Without a doubt $200 when it was free and promised at 60 is an outrage.
