MK2 Halo Headlights

Has anyone replaced the bulbs in the aftermarket headlights. If so what did you use and how did you do it? I opened mine up the other day but needless to say couldn't find a means to remove the bulb. Also is there a way to turn off the day time running light?

Side note, what is the purpose to wrapping a header? Was just curious.

Take out the headlight, pull off the black rubber backing over the bulb housing. Its right in the middle of the headlinght in the back. you should see the bulb, its quite easy.

To answer your other questing, wrapping the header helps cut down on the amount of heat it gives off.

header wrapping reduces the heat emitted by the header (duh), lowering engine bay temps, creating a colder temperature of air that is being taken in the intake. as proven on Mighty Car Mods on youtube, this doesn't do much, but it looks kinda neat.

So in the long run is it worth it?

Some claim it helps, the science is there, just in practice it doesn't do much. If you do it, all the more power to you. If anything, like I said, it looks good, if done well.
