Update! Just bored and it's been well over a year since I did this, but just wanted to inform that the lip is still holding up. I even destroyed a possum a couple months ago and it pulled out one of my mount screws but didn't damage the lip at all.

Gotta love a good one year possum update! I'm actually glad you brought this thread back up because I never would have found it otherwise. I have my zx3 lowered on eibach springs right now but I'm going back to stock height with quick struts and junkyard rear springs to bring it back to a smooth ride. But I like the look of this car lower to the ground so the lip might be a happy medium for me.

Yeah, while you're at the junk yard just buy a bumper and hack away! It's much more sturdy then an svt lip and way cheaper. Doesn't look too bad either IMO

I like this idea but, I like that my svt lip can bend, then pop back into shape with no issue. Makes great for tow trucks, and getting onto trailers.
