Turbo oil feed line

Some questions about the oil feed. I'm running a mitsu teo4h turbo and have the oil feed line off the plug next to the coil. What sort of restrictor should I use if any? I've been hearing a lot about -3 but I have no idea what that really means. Any help would be appreciated.

-3 is the size of the line. According to comp turbos, using a -3 line doesn't require a restrictor with a journal bearing turbo. Other companies may be different. I ran a comp turbo with a -3 feed line with no restrictor had no problems.

if you are running a restrictor and your turbo was designed to be ran with out one you will damage the bearings in the turbo from having to little oil pressure. precision turbos for example are designed with the proper restrictor built in and do not require one. like stated above most journal bearing turbo's with a -3an feed line do not require a restrictor.

since you are using a factory turbo i would look at the car the turbo came off of and if it doesnt use a restrictor then i wouldnt use one
