Project ST - History Lessons: #23 - Ford Mk2 Fiesta XR2

As some of you know, I'm working with fifteen52, Ken Block, and Ford on their Project ST campaign. The project is all about pumping up the new Focus ST in North America, but we're also out to elevate and educate people on some of the serious small performance cars Ford has been offering overseas and some lesser known domestic ones for years and linking that pedigree back to the new 2013 Ford Focus ST. And that's where I come in.

Today - The Mk2 Fiesta XR2. Sometimes the sequels are better.

Thats all well and dandy, but I have to be honest, I don't really care because the US never got that car, so really Ford is just rubbing our face in cars we never got.

Thanks, again, for the history lesson. It's always good to learn about the predecessors to today's Ford hot hatches.

It's more to show that things were different there and now they've all gotten together so we can all share the wealth.

I already want an ST.... wagon.
And like reamkeeper pointed out, Ford's regional exclusions don't win it any points. I'd like to try the Ecoboost Challenge since its near by, but i've got the wrong country on my license.
