mild head build ???

So i bought a milled zetec head. it was milled .030 from what i can tell by the stamp on it. Im going to be running stg 1 crower cams and i was wondering if this will be safe running 92 oct.

Anyones input would be nice .

Is the head ported? larger valves? any other work done to it? will you be safe? if thats all your doing, probably, but honestly, I wouldn't risk it. its not worth it.

I was running a head shaved .060", on a block bored to 85.5mm (giving me a compression ratio of 11.2:1) on 85 octane. Granted the air is thinner here, but it ran with no knock and made gobs of power. Still have that block, needs a new crank.

sorry to bring up this trend again.

But how will my car be running with CAI, 65mm TB, crower stg 1 cams,cam gears, .030 milled head, FC 4-2-1 headers, tune.

With a proper tune you should be fine , no one can say what your HP/Tq # will be , you will need to dyno it anyway to set the cam gears so you will know your HP then
