anything not to powder coat?

I am going to be taking the front cross member over to get blasted and a new powder coat on it. Are there other bits that I should not also have powder coated? Like the water pump housing, or other metal brackets, housing, of fixtures that should stay bare metal?

The extra cost to get the smaller parts coated along with the cross member will be low.

Thanks!

Any mating surface or rolling surface is a no-no. Other than that, go hog wild.

Moved this to "MK1 Focus" since it didn't have anything to do with performance upgrades or parts.

well also when I say powder coat I mean POR-15.... Got the following done.

Got the passenger motor mount bracket, rear dog bone / transmission bracket, AC compressor bracket, and water pump housing.

Just have two more to go.

Not being able to drive the car makes it kinda nice cuz you can take whatever off to coat and take your time. Damn I wish I had a second driveable car.

I would advise against powder coating your balls. Just putting it out there.

It is nice, but it has been far to long. Over two years. But everything is going to be as clean as it could have been if new. And trying to make sure it can stay nice.

I just hope I can remember how to put it all together again. ;-)

I powder coat on the side - the odd stuff that I do is probably my favorite - did some old mustang pistons out of an 06 mustang in grabber blue powder - sold them for $30 a piece ...couldn't keep up with the people that wanted them
