Can anyone suggest a good dye for the headliner and pillar pieces?

Official Ford Spray can in your colour of choosing?
Know plenty of people who used that for their interior.
(with the necessary sanding and clear coat)

For the headliner? It's fabric, so how would you sand and clear it?

I just don't get it. I don't think I've ever seen someone paint their interior trim (usually red or blue) and have it looking ANYWHERE close to decent. Always looks cheap and gawdy, and reminds me of those super ricer hondas.

the interior looked nice stock. why ruin it?
You can actually get red trim similar to this in a Focus from the factory.

Painted trim is becoming more common among OEMs.

I get where Mike's coming from. I've seen some pretty bright in your face red. My earlier pictures didn't do it justice because of the flash. Red, deep dark red is actually one of my favorite colours, blood red too, but that'd be a bit much for me. I do drive this car everyday and its easy on my eyes considering I drive it every day 4-5 hours. In the past 2 weeks with its grown on me even more.

Mike is entitled to his opinion though as it is in some ways true. To each their own I guess.
As for the ricer look, nah besides this colour everything else is matte black or grey as I prefer washed out colours too.

If the gloss becomes too much of a problem its 2 hours worth of work to change it to matte for me as I've become pretty good at getting the paint to form a strong bond and finish. I took a key to it and also used a cloth and hammer just to test if paint chips or comes off with the panels being bent. Not a scratch or chipped paint.

oops sorry looks like I misunderstood you there.
You might want to check this.
Don't know if it will help.

I'm not really for the crazy colors or really the carbon fiber look... I think it would really look nice with a gloss black like the 2008.5-2009 MS3.

Gloss black is just a much cleaner look IMO. The gray trim in the SE is ugly as sin, but making it orange or some other bold color seems pretty dumb to me.
