Customized Exhaust here

Hey all. I have a 02 Focus wagon (ZTW). I dumped the stock manifold for a 4-1 header from slickcar.com. Slipped in a 17" straight resonator back to a Dynomax Turbo muffler. No Cat. At first it was pretty loud. Over time it mellowed a little but is remains raspy for my taste. It's loud enough when i punch it that i can't hear the awesome draw of air from my SRI any more. I plan on replacing the Dynomax with a Magnaflow 11225 soon. I hope it quiets me down from the Dynomax. Thoughts?

My thoughts are: Most foci with out CATS are usually very loud and the only solution is to stick as long of a resonator as you can. I think you can get a 30" or so in the space. With the wagon you might have some more room?
