and yes, the mini hi 6.0 projector now is FAR superior to the dated hella e55 projector of the machs (and almost every other car with projector hid's back then). even the evox-r that is a replica of the e55, just made better, falls short of the mini's. I'd say get your hands on a set of those, and make those st170's some badass lights.

No nonono. The whole point of the Mini H1s is so you don't need to cut the bowls. They bolt right in. I removed them and sold my headlights and projectors after I got Machs.

I had the Mini H1 1.0 and that was already better than the old e55s, and I had clear lenses. I'm glad they got rid of the pencil beam and put a more robust solenoid in the newer versions. I plan on getting some for my Matrix eventually.

i clear lense swapped my e55s, but they still arent that great. I really want to sell my machs for what they are and do a mini retrofit in my old headlights, and while they're open add some sort of led turn signal on the inside

I used hidextra.com on my mazda. Complete plug and play, just has to drill the hole in the back of the cap.

Its a faily cheap kit, they have great customer service and a 1 year warranty.

It comes as a set. You either get, low beams, hight beams, or fogs. Depends on the what bulbs you buy.

I just got low beams, my fogs and high beams are normal hologen bulbs. I would like to up grade my fogs to HIDs later though. Being that they are also projector housings.
