No, you need a 86-90 escort GT header (stock) or 91-96 Escort LX header (Aftermarket)

That is an aftermarket header for a 91-96 GT. not the LX. different motor means no worky.

If you go the aftermarket route, it has to be the LX.

Waterboy had a turbo SPI built out of thunderbird parts. Details can be found here: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...ighlight=turbo

Also, I believe I have seen/heard of a turbo setup based on escort parts. It was built by jeffescortlx : http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2218783/1996-ford-escort/

Both setups require quite a bit of custom fabrication, IIRC.

I have a turbo mani for the spi (it is a weld together but has the correct exaust mani). I aquired it while I was doing my turbo build. If you're interested let me know. I've pretty much sold my entire build but still have a few parts left. If you are serious about a turbo build wish I'd have known about you a year ago. I dumped $10,000 worth of engine mods off for about $1,000.

Not to scare you away from the thought of a turbo SPI but some advice... Look to spend a decent amount of cash and a lot of time. Pretty much all will need to be custom as the aftermarket industry is soft for this motor. That doesn't mean it CAN'T be done, as some think, and without putting up some good numbers. Wish I could of finished.

If you've got some time check my build... may help you along your way. FYI it's a long build page... and *spolier alert* I never got to finish it.
