COBB is currently making a tune. You can get it directly from them or through FSWerks. Injected Engineering said they should be coming out with something later this year.

They are all flash tunes. "chips" are not at all common anymore.

SCT also released tuning tools for the ST, so your current choices are COBB Accessport based tunes, or SCT Xcal3 based tunes.

I have the Steeda tune. It really wakes the car up. The extra power and torque are great. Plus I have the security of knowing that Steeda works closely with FoMoCo so there won't be any warranty issues. Here is the link.

There will be warranty issues, don't let the fact that just because Steeda pays to work with Ford fool you into believing that Ford will honor the warranty if the tune caused a problem with the engine down the line.

This is very true. But like TJ from Steeda has said there tune is a very safe one. It may not be getting the most power and torque but is safe for the life of the engine. Steeda has a very good track record with Ford. I have been doing business with them since the 80's when I had my 5.0 Mustang. There are Ford dealers that sell Steeda ST's with full warranty so I'm not worried that someone will stand behind the car if something happens.

With my 1st gen Eclipse I was using a datalogger program installed on a PalmPilot and used a Apex Super AFC to tune out knock along the rpm band and make a few other changes and that was in '99; with my Type R it was a full AEM ecu replacement and a bit of dyno time. Fun old school stuff but I do like the simplicity of the COBB tuner on my Subi and if I move up to an ST I probably stick with COBB.

Hi, do you guys have mountune over there? It is the only one that is Ford approved here thus it keeps the warranty. http://www.mountune.com/index.php/se...st-2012-onward

I just got the FSWerks Cobb Access Port.
The best set up because it can store lots of maps and comes with lots.
The FSWerks tune is very smooth. 40 more horses and 70 more pound feet at 2500 rpm!
