New ST

Just bought a new Oxford White ST1 with a moonroof & I can say this is by far the most fun car to drive I have ever driven hands down. I traded my 2012 SE automatic hatchback in & I am in love with this car.

I'm contemplating running full synthetic oil. Does anyone else and what brand do you run?

Hey read your post. And I would suggest to only use full synthetic, I use on both my st and my 01" focus z x 3 hatch. Always gave me good results.

I'm gonna go with the motor craft full synthetic 5w30 when I go in for my first oil change.

What exactly does this mean? How are you measuring the results compared to conventional oil?

Did this turn into another hotly debated oil thread?

If a turbo is oil cooled then synthetic is best since you have oil going from the engine into the turbo which is probably emitting temps 3x higher than the engine's and I like stability in my oil when dealing with those temps plus synthetic resists coking on the bearings. I'm also a fan of turbo timers on hard driven forced induction cars.
