As for Steeda getting better numbers, I'm not talking massively better-maybe 2-3(ish) HP. If I were buying brand-new and had not physically heard the difference, I would go for the Typhoon for the considerable cost savings. But now that I have run both, I'm much happier with the Steeda over the Typhoon.

I'm not bias at all and will be installing the FRPP kit for daily driving. My first and foremost recommendation over every single intake is the snorkel-delete and K&N drop-in. For the dollar-to-HP and driveability combination it absolutely cannot be beaten.
Yeah, I've watched the performance section on both here and focaljet.
You don't need to explain the way a dynamometer works either, I'm aware.

I never said anything about how a dynamometer works...

Sorry, I'll rephrase that; I know how to see gains on a dyno.

Ok, then you understand that I'm comparing gains on each car and not comparing one car to another. That is why I omitted the dyno thread and instead pointed toward individual gains. It has nothing to do with me saying that you don't know how to read a dyno sheet.

I'm not trying to discount the Typhoon or the fact that you have it. I have many friends that have it and are happy. I also have a few friends that swapped the Typhoon for the Steeda and agree with my opinion of the sound. It's not something that can be qualified as it's merely an opinion.

Most of the members that have watched the development and installation of these intakes over the past 2 years will agree on the fact that the Steeda produces a small amount more power but that the Typhoon is a better dollar-to-HP value. Both have had some issues at one point or another, and both seem to have rectified them.

I guess I don't know exactly what you're trying to argue/discuss

I have the injen and I must say, if you're not sitting in traffic all day it's bad ass. The heat shield is terrible but that is not important if you are moving. I have no dyno results however my but dyno as well as 0_60 and 40-60 and 60-80 times vs stock were around . 2 seconds difference on average, the highest gain I seen was on the 60-80 pull at just over 5.4 seconds vs stock (with snorkel in) at 5.9

Who's sponsored by Steeda? I know I wasn't, even though I spent my own money on an intake for my last car, then sold the intake before trading cars.

The Steeda intake was a nice piece, but it seemed to be louder than it was necessarily a performance gain. Didn't get to dyno the car afterwards, but it was supposed to be a larger gain than just the k&n filter, and with the exhaust it felt a bit better to drive, although it still got exactly the same fuel economy when driven in a reasonable manner.

I'm not sponsored by Steeda, but I still like mine. It's petty sweet sounding, regardless of the HP gains.

Whom do you think is sponsored by Steeda, David? The only car that I can think of that might have gotten a discount for the original fitment is _RED_. As for the rest of the Sonic Crew that has the Steeda, we have all purchased it either new or used off of other forum members. The same thing goes for the Typhoon users that we have.
