Hmm...he said Ford is selling it "globally", but I guess he meant the "ST", and not the "estate".

He also disturbingly said he'd look elsewhere for the best hot hatch to drive...hopefully whatever he was thinking of (a Renault) isn't available in California.

I wouldn't take the review as absolute gospel, but yes for a more "hardcore" hot hatch a lot of people over there seem to prefer the slower but rawer Renault Renaultsport Megane and the like. I'd still take the Focus ST, especially the estate over any of the other cars in the class.

Agreed. My recollection of the Top Gear UK review of that Megane from a few years ago was that it had been stripped of navigation, radio, etc, and the rear seat had been replaced by "scaffolding". Not for me.
